Good experience in general. Kind and helpful staff. Sometimes, common sense is questionnable. I'm still alive

DR HEIDER SHUBER did a great job in removing my Fibroids (with photo) through ABDOMINAL MYOMECTOMY. DR SHUBER + Intern did great follow-ups/visits.

The Nurses on the first 24-hours were fabulous! Consistent pain med, care of catheter, and a much appreciated warm towel wipe. Thank you!

The IFFIness:
-- Lady in charge of surgical time confirmation was precise and strict about no food before midnight even though surgery was scheduled at 2 pm. Meaning...a great way to kill a foodie (no food for 12+ hours). Northwestern Hospital advises, no food 8 hrs prior.
-- NURSES doesn't know the scheduled Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. A few times, no one drops by to get food selection order. Foodie dies again!
-- Low level cafeteria food quality. Foodie dies for the 3rd Time! Northwestern Hospital has a great curated menu in a smaller portion with scheduled service.
-- call button for General Assistance doesn't work. Our requested coffee NEVER came.
-- In 2.5 days, I met about 50+ nurses/aids. So annoying! Some are better than Others.
-- Transfer of care is done IN your room (meaning nurses talk about you while you are in front of them) to make sure that there was no miscommunication. Another annoying situation too! Isn't the board enough!?!
