Who knew that Dublin has a Vincent van Gogh, a Caravaggio, a Vermeer, several Rembrandts, and fabulous collections of Renaissance and Irish art? This museum knocked my socks off! I had planned to spend 3 hours going through the collection but ended up staying for nearly 6 hours! At the end of the day, my feet were like lead bricks, but it was worth every minute. My favourites from the collection: "Rooftops in Paris" by Vincent Van Gogh; a 15th century St George and the Dragon icon from Novgorod, Russia; Renaissance paintings from Constantinople; and "Jupiter and Ganymede" by Nicholaes van Helt Stockdale. If you love art plan extra time in this museum!
