Overall I had a lovely experience at the Omni homestead. A beautiful resort that is tucked between the mountains, surrounded by fall foliage. The grounds are amazing and well kept making it worth just a walk around the grounds to take note of all the detail. Our dining experience was wonderful with a dinner in the dining room, a great staff, tasty food, and a great ambiance. While our stay was overall a positive experience there were a few short comings at this resort. First, upon arrival the parking lot (which was insanely small for this resort) was packed to the brim leaving only valet, which was also overwhelmed and understaffed with no one tending to new arrivals for a good 5 minutes. Second, while the room was overall clean some details were not very clean at all... smudge and dust on the bathroom mirror and ledges and a used chapstick on the floor under a dresser. Lastly, I feel like the amount of nickel and diming here was a little much, especially for a select member. Charging for water in the room, high prices valet service, and even overpriced games in the kids arcade. As a whole we had a great time here and enjoyed the ambiance, friendly staff, and relaxing environment and would definitely suggest for someone looking to get away in the mountains of VA.
