Here is how I got to know the folks at PurCo

I was charged > $1K for a very minor ding that I allegedly caused when I rented a car from Avis in Kalispell, MT.

Of course nobody at Avis bothered to check me out or check me in -- so it's my word against theirs. The bottom line was that the ding that they allege was either caused after I returned the car or was already there when I checked out the car (or simply doesn't exist ..and the pics they sent me were from a similar car).

More fishy -- is that they contacted a repair shop in Missoula to give them an estimate.. why not go to Kalispell or Whitefish..hmmm

I will be contacting others on this thread -- as I contemplate alternatives against this unscrupulous business.

P.S. Thanks goodness for Google reviews -- at least these types of horrible business practices can be brought into the open
