E. Kincaid Review of NASA Johnson Space Center
My family of three visited the Johnson Space Cente...
My family of three visited the Johnson Space Center and budgeted five hours for our visit after paying about $100 for our tickets. Unfortunately, we had to spend over two hours standing in line for the tram ride in order to see the facility's campus. Staff was extremely lackadaisical in helping the visitors derive anything out of the experience. The line moved extremely slowly, and no one seemed to care except the tourists who had already paid up. Once we got to the mock-up facility there would have been many opportunities to explain the purpose of all the equipment on display; however, tour guides herded us along the platform with nary an explanation leaving us to wonder what it all meant. During the ride of the campus the tram driver provided much dialogue regarding our surroundings. Unfortunately, we were unable to hear most of it due to the droning of the tram motor. Having visited many attractions all over the world, I would rate this as one of the worst. I left feeling as though all the NASA Johnson Space Center cared about was shaking us down for $100.
