Marco Polo Review of URN/Optilan St Pancras Station...
Large national and international train station.
Large national and international train station.
Great building, partly historical, very spacious with numerous opportunities to buy food and drink. Ticket shop on the ground floor with separate terminals to print out pre-booked tickets.
Traveled with EastMidland Trains. It is advisable to book first class in advance. If you book about 2 months in advance it only costs a few pounds more. But then you have access to the First Class Lounge on platforms 1-4. There are a few refreshments and snacks to snack on. Toilet is also available. But be careful while Bank Holidays is closed. No first class service on the train either. You can get refreshments and snacks yourself free of charge. The station is completely handicapped accessible. Lifts available. Connection to the city with underground very well signposted. However, the lift situation for reaching the Platformem of the Northern Line is very bad.
