The Pasadena Humane Society had a day recently which featured a free adoption. My cat was fighting a terminal illness and beause he had been so wonderful with kittens in the past, I thought a kitten would perk him up. But it couldn't be just any kitten. My paperwork was lost in the shuffle (they were super crowded) and they said I could have the same deal if I returned the next day, which I did. Kittens which weren't available the previous day were out, and one goofy teeny tuxedo caught my attention. Tip: do not say the cat you're adopting will be an indoor/outdoor cat, especially if you're getting a kitten. I have a fenced backyard area and one lady was adamant because I mentioned that in my paperwork.) I interviewed with Kevin McManus, and he was just so awesome! (If you can, avoid the lady with the European accent, she grilled me like I was a criminal!) The tuxedo was the most mellow thing I'd ever met - he initally rolled on his back like a puppy, which he still does! His name is Mesmer and he is fantastic, and so was my experience here. Ask for Kevin. He's the best!
