As a South Carolina resident, having my child "enrolled" to the YMCA on Port Arthur TX for her summer vacation with her dad, I am EXTREMELY unpleased with their services. Apparently staff members are not well trained when it comes to enrolling children. My child is 3years old (YMCA in Port Arthur is only licensed to have 5-12 children) was enrolled in their summer camp by one of the staff members. Obviously we asked before we decided to enroll her and we were told that she could go to the summer camp and we had to bring her immunization records pay registration fee (which we did) and she just had to bring a lunch bag every day. One her first day she was rejected because staff members informed us wrong and my 3year old child could not go to the YMCA's summer camp. Now I am in South Carolina having my child with out a day care during the day, having to find a serious day care that does take enrollment seriously. Not only that when I called to ask for a reason on why my child was rejected on her first day their only response was "we refunded the money back". Horrible service, not well trained staff member, most importantly during my phone call never did I hear an apology. At the end I am glad they did not accept her, because if staff is not trained property to take an enrollment application I can only imagine they type of training to care for these children.
