At the check in even though I had a confIrmstion that the agent could see on her end she apparently couldn't verify it. The excuse is that the method of payment aka points were not visible to her. Instead of dealing with this either expeditiously or professionally after 30 minutes I was threatened that they might have to charge the card I had given for incidentals for the full night effectively double charging me for the room. At this absurdity I asked why I would be doubly charged and her response was Well? As she proceeded to talk under her breath. I asked to speak to the manager who refused to speak with me for she said that she was too busy covering another area. I had to call the 800 number to get it straightened out. After over 40 minutes I was able to get a room key. Rode up in an elevator with broken floor only too open the door to my moldy smelling room. So much for a restful respite or making me feel like a valued guest and not that is should matter but I am a Marriott platinum reward.
