Camp Lohikan is a great camp for several reasons. I will highlight one of the first things that came to mind. Many summer camps require a child do to certain activities that they may not even be interested in doing. Because of Camp Lohikan's "elective" system, campers are able to create their own schedule that allows them to spend their days doing things they enjoy or trying new things that they may have never done before. Having the ability to choose and make decisions on their own is allowing a child to practice making positive choices in a safe environment, where when faced with difficult decisions or choices later on, they may feel more comfortable and empowered to do so. Camp Lohikan has so much to offer, including a management team that truely cares about creating a positive experience for children...it is well worth your money!
