Took my dog in who was very sick. Waited hours before the vet came out to tell me they did not know what was wrong with him. They said they had to keep him overnight and went over the cost for him to stay one day and two days. $600 for one day, $1300.00 for two. They told me they would call me at 9:30 the next morning to let me know how my dog was doing. 9:30 came and went and no call. Finally at 10:30 I called them and they proceeded to tell me they had called and left me a message. NOPE. Not true. No one called me. They literally wanted to argue with me that they called. Really? Ok, whatever. So the vet was "unavailable" and would call me back. 20 minutes later they called to tell me basically they did not know what was wrong with my dog and they needed to keep him another day. ($$$$) My dog was very old and very sick and even if they did figure out what was wrong I was not going to have him operated on or enter into a long term treatment. He was unable to stand, eat or go to the bathroom. I asked them the cost to euthanize and how much was owed. They said the bill as of now (12 hours after I took him in was 1300.00 plus the euthanasia cost. WHAT? I said he has only been there a half a day, how is the cost quoted the 2 day cost? Oh, they said we had to do this and that extra and they charge by the half day? What does that mean. So here I am in an emotionally stressed situation, getting ready to put my dog down and they are charging me twice what was quoted. They made an awful experience even worse. Bad communication. Super slow service. Weak diagnostic care. Will never take another pet there. Stay away from this hospital.
