My husband and I stayed at Willows Lodge recently for our anniversary. The room was quite nice and we probably would have had a wonderful time if it weren't for the wind storm that knocked the power out all night. Now I don't hold that against the staff by any means, they clearly don't control the weather. What I was disappointed in was how poorly they handled the outage. They weren't willing to refund our money so we could stay somewhere else (somewhere warm), there was no discount offered even though our long planned anniversary night was ruined. The best we got was all night happy hour in the hotel bar (which was charged at the normal prices on our bill) and after some pleading a few tea lights. I guess I just expected more for $400.
