This is a great place for everyone. I took my in-laws here since my they were interested in going. I haven't been here since I was a kid, maybe when I was 10 years old or so. The trip took about 45 minutes to an hour drive from Spring TX/The Woodlands area. Definitely worth the drive. They offer a senior citizen discount as well as military discount. They may have had student discount, but I don't recall. We also paid for the self guided tour headset. Very helpful when looking around with the headset icons. We also took the tram tour, included in admission. I was very intrigued to see how things have improved since I was 10 (about 30 years ago)...aging myself LOL. The tram tour takes your "behind the scenes". You get to see the control center. No longer used, recently retired but cool to see the control center used during the challenger and other missions.
Definitely recommended. Depending on how you use your time and if you purchase the self guided headset, you could easily spend an entire day here. We arrived around 11am and left about 4pm.
