I had a much better experience three years ago. This time, I took my three year old cat in, due to vomiting that was continuing, and bringing up less and less food. He was very stressed out while there, and they told me that had to put him in an oxygen chamber to calm him down. They said they gave him an ultrasound of his bladder, subcutaneous fluids, and an anti nausea injection....once they got him calmed down. They said he likely had feline interstitial cystitis. Four hundred dollars later, I left with two prescriptions, a few cans of food. Not even a blood test, just the ultrasound. I called the next day to see if I could get a prescription called in for an appetite increasing drug, because he was not eating. Got another doctor this time. Called again the next day, after looking over my bill and seeing basically just symptom relief, including the $73.00 charge for the oxygen chamber. Not so much as a blood test. No ultrasound was on the bill, so I was confused as to whether the test was done, and if not, how they arrived at his having an inflamed bladder. They called me back and explained that I had waived the other tests, but that yes...an ultrasound was done. Well, with the bill already at 400.00.....I was so sticker shocked...I could barely think.

I know it cost money to keep people on staff for 24 hours a day.....but $400.00??? I would have at least expected a blood panel test....since they already had the needle. To be fair, the might have gibmven me a break on the ultrasound, and the receptionist was very helpful. So was the person (Ashley) who called me back.

They seriously need to rethink their pricing.
