It takes a lot of people skills to work here. The learn a lot from the kids, and the kids learn a lot from you. There are times when you might think, "Why am I working here? I wanna go home! This place is insane!" but that's all really part of the experience. As soon as you learn to take a step back and breathe, you can handle anything being a camp counselor may throw at you. I was a camper for 2 years, a CIT for another 2 years, and about start my first summer as a full counselor. Every summer I felt I've grown as a person and I hope I continue to do so.
