I never before realized how wonderful these hospice nurses and aides would be. They were so incredibly kind and caring to my dying husband. One of the nurses even sat by his bed, held his hand and sang softly (and beautifully) to him, It actually brought a little smile to his face. This Hospice group was always available to me. I once had to call them about midnight because my husband seemed agitated. A nurse was here within ten minutes, and suggested we up his medication a bit. It definitely helped and within a couple of minutes, he was sleeping peacefully. In addition to this wonderful medical care, all the Hospice workers were unbelievably kind and supportive to me. They sat with their arms around me while I cried, and offered many suggestions of help for my grief. They continued to call me for several weeks after my husband died to ask if they could help me in any way. This was the kindest, most helpful team of people I have ever known. I will be grateful to them all for as long as I live.
