Dirtiest hospital I have ever seen. I was on the Board of the American Hospital Assn. So I have seen quite a few. Lots of qualified nursing and Medical staff but no one to clean and no one seems to care. Further, my compromised friend was placed in a room with a stinking smelly disruptive patient. I asked to have them moved. So they moved us to a worse situation with a patient who had the TV on all night and screamed obscenities over the phone 20 hrs a day. It was so loud it hurt our ears. Both roommates had pneumonia and kept touching my friends bed who had just has emergency surgery. Two people were crammed into single room now being used as doubles. Every bathroom in this massive facility was unsanitary with some so disgusting to the point of being animalistic. I had difficulty finding a bathroom that was usable. I would say based on what I saw that the staff are likely carriers of infectious disease. I would not work there for fear of taking disease home to my family. I certainly was in a rush to get my friend out as quickly as possible because they were in jeopardy from filth and disease and mental patients being accommodated on the regular wards. I was told there were floor that wee worse.

Dear CEO, clean !!!! You must allot large sums of your budget to clean. Bring in an expert. Walk the floors and inspect. Make your department directors round the floors. The staff shifts must report on all pertinent situations affecting patient health and outcome. This includes cleaning. The cleaning staff I saw were not cleaning just emptying garbage and sweeping. None were properly attired. Your hospital is a community health hazard. I would want to know how hazardous waste is being handled at this facility. What I saw was scary.

The public schools in California need to start a program immediately to teach proper toileting skills starting in kindergarten and earlier if children are in pre-school headstart programs and going through at least 4th grade. Tthere is clearly a problem in this area. I have seen issues all over the state not just in this hospital. It needs to be cleaned up immediately in a hospital .
In the waiting areas there were black greasy spots on the walls behind all the chairs. The chairs were unsanitary. Some patients had 20 family in the waiting room making it difficult for others to find a seat. Children running jumping screaming endangering elderly people. Again the noise was untenable. Some one needs to manage the visitors. There is no place in the surgical area to wait because the waiting area closes at 5pm. As an older person not having a place to sit is a major issue. Also there was no food or drink near by
That I could find.
Even on the floor. I had to walk great distances and to another floor just to get a drink or coffee. Not good for elderly family or spouses.
