Although I loved the medical staff and the care they provided, the billing department is archaic and spiteful. The harassment begins the date of service and, not to put too fine a point on it, under duress we overpaid the account in early 2018 by several hundred dollars just to get them off the phone.
Nearly a year later, we are still trying to get the overpayment returned, unsuccessfully, even though their statement shows a credit balance. The hoops they demand you jump through are merely punitive and designed to let them keep the money.
We mentioned this problem to the physician and he just shook his head and said he'd heard it before.
