I've had the sensor for almost a year now and replaced the battery a couple of months ago. It didn't last a year (9 months maybe), however it reliably worked using the KumoApp through the cold months, controlling a Belkin Wemo switch and heater in my 5yo's bedroom, and I can very highly recommend this solution.
