I scheduled my 8 month old german shepherd s first grooming session today. Initially, they requested his shot record but never responded to my email. I followed up the next day to confirm that they received the email. Upon checking, they had and were able to get me in within an hour and a half, which was greatly appreciated. The initial intake was fine, the lady that greeted me was kind but there was clear confusion about what we wanted, as the person I had spoken to on the phone advised general grooming and would assess any trimming when we arrived. The main issue was when I picked him up. The staff seemed rather annoyed by him. Granted, he is a very large dog, but he is still a puppy. Considering the price landed at $80 and we tipped an additionally $20, I was extremely off put by the lack of hospitality. The young lady who brought him to me seemed annoyed to the point of disgust; she didn t even hand over the leash, simply let go and turned around. We chose this groomer due to the positive reviews. I suppose if you have a smaller dog, their annoyance may not be as great, but terrible customer service was hard to overlook. We all have our biases for our own animals, but our dog s worst trait is getting over excited. His coat looks great and he smells incredible, but an ounce of good customer service would have made us life long clients. Due to the treatment of our dog, we will unfortunately not be back. Again, there were positives and negatives, but the attitude of unwelcomeness was too severe to overlook.
