I took out the most comprehensive policy offered, reassurimg called Elite. My flight to Bristol was cancelled so i returned to Gatwick 8 hours after I was supposed to land in Bristol. I hired a car to get home. I have subsequently been told that i was returned to my 'home area' which is the UK apparently and was not delayed as the flight departed less than 12 hours late. The fact it was to a different city was immaterial and the fact I got home 12 hours later than I otherwise would have is apparently immaterial. I am ow advised I should have chosen an 'add I'm from a drop down menu and added flight disruption. The wording of the policy could have been clearer and I think comprehensive cover ought to include being returned to a different airport.
