We booked this vacation at Sandals Royal Caribbean...

We booked this vacation at Sandals Royal Caribbean last year when we were staying at Sandals Negril. We stayed for a week in a Walkout Swim up Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Butler Suite which had a nice patio to enjoy breakfast on each morning. The problem was that there was major construction going on right outside our patio door which started bright and early every morning and ended well into the early evening 7 days a week without reprieve. So the luxury of having pool access right outside our door lost it's novelty pretty quickly and sitting on the beach was no escape either as the construction encroached on that as well.. so really the only place to get away from it was the main pool. Which would have been fine if we hadn't paid a large premium to have a swimming hole right outside our room. While we understand that it is necessary to upgrade and grow a business, what is completely unprofessional is that we were never told in advance that this was going on so that we could have made the decision to delay our visit (which was an option when we booked in the first place) to a time when we would have enjoyed ourselves and not had the constant drilling and hammering as the background to our 'luxury getaway vacation'. We are honestly just completely disappointed and I know that every person we spoke with that was staying at the resort felt the same way. It is a shame that our view of Sandals has been tarnished because the service we received from our butlers Chad and Cooper was outstanding - they ABSOLUTELY DESERVE 5++ STARS, the hospitality from the rest of the staff on the property was fantastic and the food at the specialty restaurants was great.
