The service department is not easy to work with. I brought my vehicle in for an issue that I knew the exact cause for, and they wanted to charge a diagnostic fee that was close to 100% of the repair cost, in addition to the repair cost. Most dealers will charge a lower diagnostic fee, or a higher one if the customer chooses to not follow through with the repair. I m not sure why I should have to pay an additional $100+ fee when I articulated the exact problem and part that needed repaired. I understand if I came in with something vague like My car is making a noise that that would need additional diagnosis, but when I state My brake light switch is faulty and needs replaced , I m not sure what additional diagnostics need to be performed.

For the record, I went back home and took the brake light switch out of my other Versa, and the car began working as expected. Reordered a new OEM part for $20 and solved my own issue. Too bad, I would have been willing to pay the $150-$200 i was quoted by the service department to have it fixed. However, the extra fee was too much.

I ve had too many issues with Boardman Nissan over the years, and will no longer be doing business with them.
