The grounds are just a few yards from the lake, so expecting to be on the water is not realistic. Remember that sound carries very well on water, and, downhill. Your neighbors will appreciate you keeping noises and voices low - this is excellent napping, sleeping in and lazy time camp area.

Also, use your parking lights as you drive in and out in the dark. The loops are winding and as such you'll shine headlights directly into your neighbor's eyes if they are on.

The Christian camp nearby offer plenty of creature comforts and the only fuel for purchase in the Parks. It's dearly priced and convenient. Happily, they have an Icee machine to ease the sting of gas prices. Getting a snack or lunch to eat by the water is nice as well.

Being a family friendly place, your attire will be subject to a dress code. Cover bikini tops and wear full shirts with sleeves.

Your kind and well mannered dog will be welcomed warmly. Curb and clean up after thier reliefs promptly. Small children are about and it is expected that animal waste will not be a hazzard.

Sunsets and sunrises are a thing of glory here, and, sometimes met with the sound of choir or campers singing hymns or modern Christian songs.

Fireworks, firearms, noisy motors, barking and ill-tempered dogs, motorized boats, motorized water conveyance, LOUD engines of any kind are not welcomed. In fact, no motors are allowed on the water - no exceptions. Heed this rule, the wildlife here have little water to hunt and feed in and your disruptive engines and rotors are a detriment.

The creek feeding the lake is a treat visually and is fun to play in. Take all trash out with you, including that which you find that you didn't bring in. Teach others how to respect the places they go by you're kind example.

There are not trails for hiking, as such, but a trek into the woods is easily enjoyed with a GPS that has live mapping of the terrain. The fire roads and trails have been disturbed by recent clearing and thinning, and they are not easy to see or follow.
