Christy Deering Review of BBRMC Alpine, TX

We had just arrived in the Terlingua Ranch area on October 11th (for our wedding on the 15th) when my fiance fell and ripped his knee open on a rock. The closest ER was in Alpine, so we hopped in the car and I got him there as quickly as possible (about an hour to an hour and a half). The ER staff were so kind and thorough and helpful. Dr. Owen took care of the cleaning, stitching, insertion of a drainage tube, etc. He was very competent, kind, and straightforward. We received clear instructions on how to care for the wound, and were given all the supplies we would need for the coming few days. We went back to the Ranch the next day, and my fiance spent the rest of the week resting his knee and taking care of himself.
We went back for a follow up on Friday the 14th, and the wound had no signs of infection and he was cleared to take off the brace and stop using crutches. I strongly believe that if he hadn't gotten such good care in Alpine, he wouldn't have been able to stand without crutches during our wedding on the 15th. We've been following their care instructions ever since, and his knee is healing. Thank you so much Alpine!
