Based on my personal experience, this clinic is NO...

Based on my personal experience, this clinic is NOT RECOMMENDED!

I underwent cataract surgery at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok in September 2016. My own eye lens was removed (phacoemulsification) and replaced with an artificial one (intraocular lens).
After the operation, I found that my eyesight on the operated eye was severely restricted - unlike before. The only reaction to my complaint was "later". After nothing improved "later", I went to another clinic to get a status of this eye.
Here I was told that the "cheapest" was done. A monofocal lens is used, which was technically developed almost 70 years ago.
Which doctor should be used, I was neither asked by the doctor or the clinic in advance, nor was I informed about the differences.

The only thing that worked well after the operation in this clinic was to collect a lot of money from the patient. A doctor's and an examination fee was also due for each personal interview for the purpose of complaining to the doctor. The only result of these talks "comforting" on later. No explanation of the existing problem.
I wrote a complaint to the management of the Bumrungrad Clinic in November 2016. There was no answer!
In July 2017 there was another try and a verbal complaint from me in the clinic.
Again, there were no definitive statements regarding a problem solution. But a bill for more than ten thousand baht!
In the meantime I have personally handed over a petition in Bumrungrad, and there has been no response to this day. A year has passed!

With this description I would like to warn all those who are traveling to Thailand to seek medical treatment here.
The costs are certainly lower compared to Europe or America.
But what use is this if you have saved some money in the end and sustained permanent body damage?
EVERYONE should definitely ask this question before medical intervention in Thailand !!!
Although there are many modern medical devices in this clinic, this clinic at first makes a western impression.
However, the knowledge and training of doctors is obviously limited.
The Bumrungrad Clinic is obviously just a facility for generating a lot of money, which is also the experience of many other assessors at this point (excessive medication costs, incorrect treatment, etc.). As you can always read in the reviews, simple diseases have already been treated incorrectly, which now affects me too!

When planning medical treatment, always take into account that the relevant laws in Thailand, which protect patients from medical errors and regulate the legal consequences, are largely non-existent. In the end, you can only try it in goodwill in the end ...
There is no legal remedy in Thailand!
From the Thai perspective, a doctor in Thailand is always a "guru in a white coat" and comes immediately after a Buddhist monk. So nobody in Thailand will officially intervene against the mistake of a doctor.

In the end, it may very well be possible that the total cost of medical treatment will be far higher than what would have been incurred in the home country if one had to be treated again in the same matter in the home country.

A major medical intervention in Thailand can become an uncertain health game for the reasons mentioned, which I personally had to experience live.
CONCLUSION:
Far from the result that can be expected from the current state of modern Western medicine and, for me, lost vision. In debt through this clinic!
