We left our two labs at Thousand Hills Pet Resort ...

We left our two labs at Thousand Hills Pet Resort for 4 days. When we returned, one of our dogs, Gracie, was extremely swollen, covered head to toe in welts, and was having trouble breathing. P.J., one of the staff members, who told me he was checking up on my girls through out the weekend and brought her to my car told me that Gracie looked normal. I was told by the manager on duty, Tenisha, that "stuff like this happens, and there is not anything they can do about it." !!!!! I was livid. I asked them how they would be paying for my emergency vet bill on a sunday because she obviously needed to go to the vet. They told me they would not being paying for any medical attention because of their "policy." The ER vet told us that she had been stung or bit by something she was allergic to (which I realize is not the kennels fault) but because of the amount of swelling and stretched skin and welts she had been like this for days!! Which means, they neglected my dogs for days and neglected them enough for them to think that swollen, puffy, and bumpy is "normal." I called the manager, Kyle, the next day, and he told me that he spoke with P.J. and P.J. had handled everything by the book also telling me that while my dog was in P.J.s care, he "never had time to notice she was sick" depite both P.J. and Kyle telling me that he was the one that was checking up on both of my dogs throughout the weekend. We argued for a while about getting reimbursed for my stay and for him paying for my vet bill....he refused. It was not until he told me that Bailey was healthy and Bailey was not sick when P.J. checked on her that I absolutely realized that even the manager is neglectful. When I told him he was arguing about the wrong dog and he didn't even know what dog was sick that was in his care!!! (because Gracie was sick, NOT Bailey.) Only then did he reimburse me for my stay. They still refuse to pay my $185 vet bill because of their "policy." And should Kyle have anything to say about me lying about this as he did on a previous post, I dare him to call me on it. Unless they have burned their paperwork, Thousand Hills should have all of this on file, my vet will back me up, as well as the Better Business Bureau which I have contacted. I would never lie about my dogs. THIS KENNEL DOES NOT CARE FOR YOUR PETS. And I have talked to many other kennels and vets...all of whom have not had good things to say about this kennel.
