Booked a routine maintenance over the phone for 8am this morning. Arrived to an awkward service rep who's greeting was "hi................ Can I help you?" To which I responded, "Yes, I have an 8am appointment." After then walking away without words, he confirmed my appointment. I asked how long it would take and he said "a few hours." Then I said I would wait in the lounge. Hours went by and I figured they were just busy as there were a lot of people there. But then everyone came and went and the lounge was near empty. This was around hour 3. I asked the service coordinator for an update on my car and she informed me that my service rep was out to lunch but she would go find out an update for me. She immediately found a technician who said that I hadn't been marked as waiting for my car (even though I said it and I made eye contact with my service rep multiple times throughout the morning). This was at 12:30pm, 4.5 hours after my scheduled appointment. The coordinator informed me that she put my car next on the list but a lot of people were out at lunch. It's now 2:10, over 6 hours of waiting (I haven't eaten anything since before I brought my car in at 8) and they are finally doing my OIL AND FILTER CHANGE. I literally could've done this myself in 15 minutes but I have a prepaid maintenance contract. An entire work day spent waiting all because of the impersonal distracted demeanor of my sales rep. Everyone else at the dealer seems on top of their stuff but it only takes one guy. I know I'm just one customer and I'm sure I would have had a great experience were it not for this mistake, but a mistake was made and I missed an entire work day because of it.
