Bingy The BiscuitboyReview ofHopScotch Bar
Finding a place to chill in the night & found Hops...
Finding a place to chill in the night & found Hopscotch at their newest hideout at Gillman Barracks.
Was abit hungry when I arrived so i ordered mushroom risotto ($16). Serving is fine but not for the very hungry ones like me. It was hearty and flavourful, just wished there was more Portobello mushroom slices as I am a mushroom lover.
Their drinks menu was interesting. Tried several of their drinks & they do not disappoint. Below are some drinks which I explored, I might have forgotten what else I've ordered.
Wanting something a little stronger, I dived into the Ice Man ($23). This cocktail is served in a cute Tiki mug. Fresh calamansi and citrus are infused into the drink and it is served with almond jelly, mango roll-up, dehydrated pineapple, Amarena cherry and Angostura and orange bitters mist. Inspired by old-school Singaporean shaved-ice desserts, we were told that this drink pays homage to the uncles from the traditional dessert store .
Also tried the Hopscotch Secret Remedy ($23) which contains Pipagao, it was interesting and nice for someone like me who likes the taste of cough syrup.
To get a proper review, I also ordered the Kungfu Hustle ($22), it was a interestly strong and citricsy drink which was served in an anicent chienese wine vat & bowl.
Ambience was chill, staffs were friendly, even the patrons there too. Would visit again to chill.
