DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY!! I'm so disgusted I'm in tears I'm so angry at what they did to me! I rented at Howard Crossing in Ellicott City MD . I was there about 2 years. I was a super quiet tenant who was ALWAYS looking out for the tenants and staff! I reported suspicious activity, interacted with staff, always had noce things to say about them, loved the area, even called the office to tell them a tornado warning that went up unexpectedly and to get people out of the pool! I never had parties I took care of my apartment. Kept a clean apartment and never bothered anyone!! And what do they do they fricking stick me with a bogus invoice! !! !!! Omg I'm so mad at the BS on here! They said I damaged the carpet that's a lie I did not damage anything in that apartment!!!!!!!!!!! I told them at the beginning of February when I was late the one and only time I couldn't afford to live there anymore due to a really rough and emotional year and needed to leave. My lease stated if I did not turn in a renewal I automatically terminated and would have to move. Then I decided well let me turn in a written anyways. Those SOBS slapped me with a insufficient notice fee of $786.10 as well as a damaged carpet fee and some unknown autocharge fee as well utilities?!?! Are you kidding me?? I told them 2 months prior I can't afford to live here I was in tears in their office that day. The last year has been awful. I had 3 people I was recommending Howard Crossing to move into so I will be making 3 phone calls tonight they will not be moving in! I never had an issue with the Home Properties staff. This company makes me sick!!!! I will be blasting on the Internet and speaking to an attorney. You people make me sick!! Liars and crooks! I no longer have any respect for your company or the staff there! I am in total shock and disgust that you would do this to a quiet good tenant especially knowing I was moving due to hard times. You'll the get the utilities fees but nothing else. It's unjustified I'm just so disgusted!!
