My boyfriend was showing some signs of appendicitis, so we went to Albany Med Emergency to be safe and catch it before it gets worse. We checked in at 9:15pm, it is now about to be 2:30am and he has yet to even be checked throughly.

There is a man next to be that has been sitting in a wheel chair waiting to be placed in a bed for hours.

There was also a man earlier moaning of jaw pain and they took hours to take him. Then when they took him in another room, he was still waiting and asked to be seen by someone because he had been waiting idly, in massive pain with no instruction on how long and when he would be seen. One of the security guards had put his hands on him and of course he reacted negatively towards them. He just kept requesting to see someone, since again, his jaw actively is hurting. Yet, a group of security guards grabbed him by his arms and left him outside as he was yelling. Furthermore, one of the security guards laughed about when he got back inside the building.

A young female with what looks to be in pain around her stomach area. She s shaking and try to calm herself down. As she continues to wait probably another 5 hours.

In just the span of 6 hours, all I see is people not given the care they deserve. Thank god my boyfriend isn t in too much pain to go home. Otherwise, I would have absolutely thrown a fit myself. Albany Med is not the place to visit when in an emergency situation.
