Kevin Lackey Review of Legacy Toyota

I had major storm damage to my Ford Edge from Hurricane Michael. I called at the end of November to see when I could drop my car off. I was told they were behind on their work because of all the storm damaged vehicles. The earliest they could fit me in would be Dec.17. I asked how long it would take and they said based on the insurance estimate, approximately 17 business days. I said ok and got a rental car for 30 days. I started trying to find out if my car was ready a week before I had to return my rental car. The day before I was to return the rental car, the collision manager called to say he had just finished reviewing my car. I said great, when can I pick it up? He said he just finished reviewing the damages, they hadn't started repair work yet. I replied do you mean to tell me you've had my car for 30 days, haven't touched it, while I had to drive around in a rental car. I could have waited another month and saved some money. The manager replied, if you had waited, you would have been behind other people. I asked then what's the use in setting an appointment? He had no answer. His reply was, I called to tell you the damage was more extensive and it was going to be totaled. So, if Legacy had any professional integrity they would have been up front with me and told me they were over a month and half behind instead of making my appointment a couple of weeks out. I can deal with my car be totaled out, but guess what? You lost a new car sale because of your unprofessionalism. Had you been honest with the time frame, I would have replaced my totaled car with a new car off of your lot. BEWARE OF LEGACY'S COLLISION CENTER!!! You got one star only because I couldn't post with zero stars!!
