Just received the bill for $400 facility fee for one basic Dr.'s office visit! This was at Advocate Health in Chicago. What a joke! When I called my insurance (they didn't pay any of it of course) they said that they are seeing more and more of these "facility fees" coming through. Is there anyone filling a class-action on this? sign me up! I just thank god that we don't have serious illnesses that require frequent Dr. visits. I feel for those who are in the trenches with this stuff. Broken system indeed. Maybe all those in Washington who like to hear themselves talk on BOTH SIDES need to stop their yapping and get to work...we are being eaten alive out here!
