Came here for an early dinner with my wife. We shared the Fish & Chips, and the Beef and Ale Pie. The fish & chips was done perfectly. It came with a small side-salad, a small tub of tartare sauce, and a large slice of lemon - yay, finally, a place that does not think lemons are worth gold and only give a meagre portion. The pie came "floating" in mushy peas, mashed sweet potato, and gravy. The peas, SP, and gravy was very good. The pie crust looked overdone - a tad too brown - but it was quite okay. The beef and thick gravy inside was tender and tasty. We both agreed the pie was the best meal. We drank Guinness. The only thing wrong was that they only served Guinness in pots or pints - we prefer schooner glasses, but what the heck - it's Guinness. Service was good - it was late Sunday arvo and not that busy. We would return.
