We spent two nights in this hotel in mid-September. What a drama.

The building itself looks beautiful; the rooms are large, the bed is comfortable and the hotel is wonderfully quiet. It was unfortunate that the entire property was covered with cobwebs and that no one bothered to take it away before guests were received.

The jacuzzi was enjoyable, but it really needs to be replaced. Half the bubbles were not working, the jacuzzi had all kinds of cracks and the tap water ranged from freezing cold to very hot. We reported this to the front desk, of course, but the girl on duty assumed "we wouldn't mind that the jacuzzi barely worked."

Breakfast was simple but acceptable. Especially the first day this was rather sparse, we arrived well within the "breakfast hours" but at that time there were only 7 sandwiches to choose from. There was also no hot food, except for an egg and a piece of bacon (which by the way were already finished the first day).

The peace in this hotel is brutally disturbed by the parties they organize here. The hotel is very old and noisy. This way we could fully understand the conversations of the neighbors in our room. However, the parties made a lot more noise. If you are going to a hotel to relax for a while, I definitely recommend that you look further. The basses thundered through the hotel and in our room it was not even possible to watch television, let alone sleep. We really had a terrible first night because of this.

We have reported to the reception that we had enormous inconvenience from the parties. They responded that they had sent an email 4 days ago to all guests who have booked. 4 days before your stay you can expect an email at this hotel that your quiet getaway is being ruined by a party they organize. At that moment, I have already taken time off from work, arranged a babysitter, reserved a restaurant or booked an outing. In my opinion, coming up with such an announcement 4 days in advance is really unacceptable, especially given the enormous inconvenience that the hotel guests experience as a result and see 4 days in advance there is still something else to be found ..

However, the hotel had no understanding or apologies for the inconvenience; even when I checked out when I asked if anything had been done with my comment / complaint, they responded that they had actually not paid any attention to this anymore. When we once again submitted our story by e-mail, we also received the response that they have emailed it 4 days in advance and have no further message about the complaint, apparently this hotel does not care at all whether guests are having a good time or not .

And in addition, the rooms in the hotel are really on the expensive side, in my opinion a value for money of nothing. This is a hotel that does not think from the guest's point of view at all, is not there for the guest and delivers real tinkering given the price that is charged for a stay. I advise everyone to look a little further and to ignore this hotel. Funny detail: the logo of the hotel says 5-stars, but this hotel actually only has 4 stars (which is not worth it at all). The 5 stars are "simply nicer in the logo", according to the reception employee. Scammers. Never again for us.
