One of the Washingtonian places off the beaten path for outsiders and transient residents. This museum makes art fun! The exhibits are well curated to array and engage. I've been there with friends and solo. Most recently I checked out the American Moments photography visiting exhibit, subtle storytelling through photos and giving a visual historical perspective. Also, rather than a happy-hour I highly recommend rounding up your friends for the Phillips After Five events--drinks and small bites included. You'll have fun! Try it.
