Despite being a lifelong Calgarian and music lover, I had yet to tour the National Music Centre until recently. What a joy it is! I especially recommend catching a presentation on the museum's organ, which was once used as a soundtrack for silent films. There are exhibits on Canadian contributions to all genres and eras of music. Also, there are plenty of interactive exhibits which give visitors the chance to try instruments. The NMC is great, and I can't wait to go back again when I have more time. Also, the Rosso coffee shop on the main floor is quite nice, too.
