My father has been battling bladder cancer for several years now. He was scheduled to have surgery at Vanderbilt and after waiting six weeks, two days before his surgery he found out the doctors office had changed his surgery time without even telling him. The office didn't handle the situation very well and now he's starting all over trying to find another doctor who will keep their scheduled appointment time. You would think when dealing with cancer patients there would be even more care and consideration given to the patient but unfortunately that wasn't how Vanderbilt handled my father's situation.
