The staff at the place is really helpful and kind. Free printing and computer usage is available for USF students (COVID-19 guidelines might affect the usage). Extensive variation of books are available at the place. It is always better to check the book online before coming in person. The library s...
As a USF student I utilize the library almost everyday. As of late the library, in my opinion has gone downhill. It's dirty: the cleaning staff doesn't clean the bathrooms regularly, the 5th floor which is newly renovated (quiet floor) is loud and also dirty, and the computers on the first floor are...
How about do some renovation on floor 3-4? Kind of old. Stair may need renovation too. Also there are ants in library. So, why 3 star? Air conditioner works well, other floors are fine, have enough seats for study on each floor. And there are many helpful study assistant services in this building. O...
It seems more computer lab than library now but perhaps that's just the way of things today. I will say that most of the staff are excellent and the library enjoys good leadership. I'm giving it 3 stars though because I miss all the browsing through the stacks. Much is on line now or off site. So j...
I have been coming to this library about 5 days a week every week for the past 2 years to study and catch up on assignments. (because i have nowhere else to study!) However, if I don't come super early on weekdays I end up on the floor studying. So more desks would be nice. The 4th floor that is sup...
This is an excellent place to sit down and study. Parking can be time consuming earlier in the mornings. Overall, clean, quiet, and resourceful place. The 5th floor is pretty neat.
I never write reviews but I had to. Least helpful staff I have ever met. At 1 in the morning, someone locked my bike with theirs by mistake in front of the library. I went inside to ask if they could help me as I am not from here and I do not know the usual procedures. All they said was to lock my b...
The USF Library has had some very nice updates. It is clean, comfortable, and bright. It is a great environment in which to study. The collection is extensive, which includes online materials.
I don't understand how could a university as big as USF closes the library. Finals are next week and it closes at 6pm on Saturday. Are they saving power. THIS IS a UNIVERSITY NOT SOME PUBLIC LIBRARY...
The library here is only a library on floors 3 and up, the first floor is rowdy with a Starbucks, and the second floor is also rowdy but with a Math only computer lab. It's better late at night and early in the morning.
Not completely efficient at meeting people's requests. Especially cold in the top floors, and the only floors that you can actually use to study well in are the top floors. 1st and 2nd floor are way too noisy. Basement doesn't have a huge area for people to sit at. When you reserve a room even in th...
The hours constantly change: the website will say it's open and it'll be closed, or it'll say it's 24/5 and then you won't find out till closing that they've changed the hours. You can see it on the website, if you don't actually look at the MAIN site. I take both winter and summer classes, and miss...
I typically use the USF library to tutor students and sometimes work on my own work. If you go to the 2nd, 3rd, or 6th floor, there are generally several tables available and it's super quiet. It's a bit noisier on the first floor where the vast majority of the computers are located. However, I defi...
Great place to study. It has a variety of places depending on your studying tactics. If you want to have a quite area, you can go any floor from 3-6. If you wanna work with groups, you can stay in the first or second floor. It even has study rooms for people who wanna study in their own little group...
More private seating would be nice. Tutoring services are very helpful, I recommend. The Starbucks employees are alright. Wish they would open the windows from time to time because it smells really kept up in there. More parking would be great. This is such a useful place to park on campus, I ki...
A great place for all kinds of study including group study, research, or seminar presentation. There was a computer lab on the first floor, common study areas on the second floor, and quiet study areas on the third and fourth floor. There was also an excellent collection of books, CDs, and other stu...
I have been studying in the library for couple of weeks, it's getting cold every single day, especially at night.I cannot think of anything other than kicking us out of the library. Sometime I start doing push-ups to get some blood to my limbs. When i try to find a quite area, I study at the fifth f...
The USF library is an essential resource to just about every student. One can get all the work done here that is needed - computers, support technologies, desks, books, and a coffee shop to help you stay awake / burn the midnight oil. Funding for the USF library is crucial, and I'd only recommend th...
Each floor is designated for different purposes. 4th floor is the quiet study floor but staff doesn't regulate the rules. Students are rude and do what they please. Staff at USF could care less if you're not at student at USF, and therefore tell the public to find other public library's. Honestl...
50,000 students, USF is charging anywhere from $1000-$10,000+ per semester and there is not nearly enough room for students to study (or park). It's not even mid terms or finals week. I suppose they could start planning new facilities now (maybe in a decade there will be some results) but how does t...
So it's like 0 degrees in the library and it seems to be worse in the upper floors. When USF staff workers are not conducting their construction work or transferring of large heavy machinery extremely loud and boistreously, it can be quiet. Then you have your occasional annoying college kids that w...
Nearly half of the people in the library check facebook or play computer games. And a lot of them talk loudly in quiet floors too. Though this is expected in a second tier, mediocre undergraduate school but some hardworking and motivated students are disturbed by these irresponsible, mediocre randos...
Good luck finding a computer that actually connects to the internet. The starbucks here is ok but they usually cut corners on drinks because of how busy they get. The quiet areas usually still have people who talk loudly on their phones and there arent enough group stidy rooms unfortunately :/ its a...
If you ever need any help with anything. Terry at the front desk was such a great help, the printers weren t working and I needed one page printed and he offered to help me truly a man who cares about the patrons of the library! Thank you
Very well maintained. Has books of every field. The study room booking facility is pretty useful. The place is generally quiet and friendly. The low maintained temperatures during late nights is a problem sometimes.
The fifth floor is great but everywhere else is very outdated. There are plans to renovate soon. There are a lot of great resources for USF students. If you ever need something just come here and wave your USF ID.
This place is too noisy and you can not.concentrate or study...Horrible they eat and drink there and is not quiet at all...That is a pass time area. USF needs to build a Rec.Center for Socializing and let the Library be a library for studying.
