Great place to visit, however best to get there early, as it's a very busy place.
Great place to visit, however best to get there early, as it's a very busy place.
It was amazing but the queue for the crown jewels was too long
As you enter to your left there is a free group meeting point where the guard briefly explains to you the main points on interest . Personally I think it is over priced. The ticket is 30 pounds or 27 if u dont want to pay for a donation ( I paid 27) i enjoyed the day but it isnt good value for t...
The sights here were amazing. I haven't been on the tour yet so idk how that is. But, the Tower of London is definitely worth to see.
Awesome visit but needed more time. Plan for three hours. Saw the Crown Jewels and the White Tower. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fascinating for history buffs.
Very nice museum. Whilst you are there there are a lot of staff members explaining the history of each building to the public audience. Definitely a main attraction in London.
We got there and just fell in with a tour already in progress. Not sure if you had to pay for those or not, but, being English/British - they're too civilized to tell us to leave. And this guy - he was great. Just the type of guy you would think was a high ranking enlisted in the army. He was cracki...
Hear the rich history here and walk through the corridors where Kings & Queens ventured. A good stop. The London Passs gives you access.
Need a day to see everything
The guided tour is a must and very entertaining
Wow. Need a month to see this fabulous historic castle.
Great place to visit and at the moment no queuing involved so even better
Great place to understand the last 1000 years of england
Very interesting part of British history. Facts about the tower were explained well and all the staff were very friendly. The queues were quite long to see some parts however (10-20 mins). Would recommend to anyone visiting London for the first time.
I didn't went inside but next time I will definitely visit there
Talk about a micro motel!! Some rooms you need to sleep crouching down. Few sharp spikes in some and too many people screaming at night when I tried to sleep.
The ticket might seem expensive, but I assure you, it's totally worth it. You can be inside the tower all the time you want, and there is a lot to see. It's beautiful too. And, at the beginning, the same Yeoman Warders gives you a guided tour. Don't miss it.
Really amazing historical palace/prison. Full of interesting exhibitions about the people that have been there either as prisoners or as guests. Crown jewels exhibition was also amazing, not to be missed with the dazzling display. However, crowds were super large and queues inside can last an hour. ...
Well worth the price of admission. Take the time to do the Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) tour - it's free. Everything exceeded my expectations
Fantastic day out! Tour with the beefeater was comical and in formative. Good views and not too crowded.
Great to visit at this time as there weren't too many tourists and I thought it was good value for money.
My hotel is basically next to the tower, so I see it every morning. It's really pretty, definitely worth checking out. Especially with the London Bridge right next to it.
Our tour guide was the gold star of the whole trip! This is by far the most interesting place in London! Thanks Jim Duncan!
Awesome..not to miss when visiting London.
Easy ticket access and tour guide to explain the history of the venue.
The Royal gems are not to be missed..
Can't go wrong here. Kids loved it, we loved it. Just avoid the fish and chips place that is by the entrance. It's soaked in oil.
Huge place, couldn't get through it all before feet started hurting. Things could be better marked, (ie exits after closing hours). Choose what you want to see and do those first and then on to secondary places if you have time/energy.
Very proud to be part of this fantastic country we have some amazing architecture and lovely people
We spent and entire half a day here and still had more to see. Such a great place.
Great day out. Spoilt by the rain but will definitely go another time. Well worth it.
Great photo opportunities, history and archetecture galore, just amazing. Went here for the first time and was not dissapointed. I personally recomend strolling around instead of going on a tour, but both are equally informative.
Would recommend to anyone visiting London. If you enjoy history and love seeing and hearing about what happened there are the Yeoman Warders that take you around as well as being able to do so on your own. They also have eating places there with very good food. If for nothing else go to see the crow...
Looks amazing from the outside, look forward to getting the time to actually go in! Update review then...
Worth the time and money. Plan at least 2 hours here.
The Tower is only partly wheelchair accessible, so it s probably a bit pricy als you can t skip the lines for the Kronjuwels.
An amazing trip back through time. Educational, and the Yeoman tour is priceless. Set aside at least 4 hours minimum to enable an all encompassing view of what's on offer.
Must see. I visit each time I m in the UK. I learn something new each time and am equally floored by the atmosphere, history, stories and beauty.
Very interesting and varied. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Really enjoyed my visit this week. Beautiful castle. Made me proud to be a Londoner and to be British. Do the guided tour with a Beefeater! We had Scott who made us laugh at lot while telling us interesting stories. Do not go if you think history is like the boringest thing.
Fascinating history, but the guided tour is a must. Guides are dressed in period costumes, and are informative and entertaining.
I love this place. It's my second time here and we purchased the audio tour again and it's still worth it. A really interesting medieval Castle.
Great historical monument with a very rich set of stories and characters to go with it. My only peeve is that with the exception of the crown jewels, almost everything else is inaccessible to strollers and wheelchairs. We parked our stroller at one of the designated spots and that helped a bit but i...
Great views from the Shard. Ate at Ting which had amazing food and top notch service.
Disappointing.
My high expectations - given its popularity - were not met.
A lot of the standard rooms and exhibitions are closed and the ones that were open were nothing remarkable, if fairly well-travelled.
No tours are available, but the information provided is very limited and I did not see a...
If you're interested in history, especially Tudor history, this is a must see! Definitely do a beefeater tour, they are very knowledgeable and entertaining.
The beef eaters give a wonderful tour. Very family friendly informational and comical. Highly recommend you start your visit with them right inside the gate (free tour). Once the tour wraps up you're right next to the queue for the crown jewels. The line may seem long but it moves quite quickly. The...
Fantastic slice of history, medieval through to modern day
This was our first trip to London with the kiddos so we had to take them on a double decker bus tower and show them the Tower of London. It was fun to see it through fresh eyes. The exhibits have changed a lot since my first visit 30+ years ago. I remember more ravens and fewer shops. The boys wer...
Awesome! Especially if you have time to take in all the info. So many historical figures lived/imprisoned here.
Crown jewels are excellent too
Beautiful view at night, of another piece of British history.
off the charts. Best place to visit in London. Hands down. Dont miss the armour collection on the tower.
Lovely display with a lone beefeater standing guard
A very impressive, well preserved and maintained piece of British history. Well worth a visit! As always the case; purchase online to get the better deal and avoid a queue.
I recommend the Beefeater tour. Bring reallh good walking shoes.
Treasure trove of history. Must visit tourist destination for all visitors.
Couple of suggestions on you should plan your trip based on my experiences of having visited multiple times.
- Start with the mint. To your left as you enter.
- Next, head straight to the tower jewels to see the Kohin...
Went there on a Monday. Not too busy, enjoyed the day very much.
Fantasctic place to visit
Highly recommended
Magnificent place. Usually crowed with tourists just like I was but it's worth it. The tour guides are very fun and extremely knowledgeable. I love it!
Great place to visit, would reccomend doing the guided tour.
Lovely place
I am glad Britain is taking care of her.
Preserving history
Great place , get there early , as there is do much to see
A must for history lovers. Spent the whole day wandering round the castle. We started the tour with the crown jewels and thankfully missed the long queue
Gaze up at the massive White Tower, tip-toe through the King's medieval bedchamber, marvel at the world famous Crown Jewels (taking photos is not allowed), meet the Yeoman Warders with bloody tales to tell and stand where famous heads once rolled
Spent 4 hours there! Need audio so you would be able to enjoy more and understand the richness of the history!
It is nice to see the jewels inside, don't know whether they are the real ones, but it is a must go if you are visiting London for the first time
Such an interesting place with so much history! Plan to spend at least a couple hours to get the full experience.
This tour is a must. Such amazing history and drama.
Always see something different that catches the interest. Allowed 2 hours, took longer and should have allowed even more.
REALLY impressive history that was well presented. Bought the audio guide but next time I'll sign up for the tour.
Well worth a visit...what's stopping you?!
Expensive but more worth it if you take one of the free 1hr Yeoman tours inside. We had a great guide who was informative and absolutely hilarious... he would shout and make jokes all the time, which made it more enjoyable... Getting to see the crown jewels was definitely a highlight.
Perfect place for tiring out our 2 year old, climbing up and down all the steps! There is a buggy park, so you don't have to push it over the cobbles. There was a coin lock system, which we only noticed when we collected the buggy. It was left unlocked for a few hours and was safe, but do this at yo...
Bigger place than I expected? Need about 4-5 hours here to enjoy the experience? Interesting place of history and culture we went during October school holidays wouldn't want to go here during the summer months as it was a pleasant walk around today recommended when visiting London!!
Great day out - is a little pricey but it is a must see attraction
Came here on New Years Eve and found the tour to be really educational and interesting. However, as you would imagine being NYE, it was packed to the brink with a hoard of people in every exhibit shoving their way through.
We didn t wait in line to see the Crown Jewels as the queue was 1.5 hours ...
So much history here at the Tower. Too much for one day. Crown jewels are amazing
Great place to spend few hours learning about history of London. Loved yeoman tour.
Nice historical place where Kohinoor diamond (looted from India) studded crown of the Queen of UK is exhibited, along with several other jewels
Always a great place to visit. So much to see including the Crown jewels. Take a guided tour the "beefeaters" are full of information and really engage with the public. Be prepared to spend a few hours there. Look out for 2 for 1 tickets when travelling by train.
