I photographed a wedding here and was surprised to see how much outdoor and garden space there is. It's got great outdoor areas for a city centre venue. The conservatory is huge and makes a good room for the wedding ceremony.
Food was very good!

I ve been here a couple of times for both lunch and dinner and it s been quite inconsistent to be honest. Sometimes it s really nice, other times it s unacceptable long waits for both orders and the food to arrive, and the food quality. Not a lot of options for a paleo eater either.

This is supposed to be an event venue. The place is very industrial, the toilets are very cold with collapsing floor in one of the cubicles. It was a good venue for a Christmas party. Although they needed more bar staff. Not suitable as a wedding venue.

A great pub with a homely atmosphere that's frequented by locals and students alike. Cheaper than most, though this is reflected by the fact that the pub (especially the outdoor cubby hole areal could do with a scrub. This may take away some of the place's charm, however.
