Small intimate theatre. Just seen 'out of sorts' which was fantastic

What a cosy spot. Love the space and that includes foyer. Only downfall is that the seats were a little hard and uncomfortable.

The performance of Cinderella and the Beanstalk was great. We had a wonderful time, the children got really excited and joined in.

Great little South London theatre venue situated upstairs from a pub. Puts on interesting new productions. Seating is unreserved, so don't dally if it is busy.

Friendly staff. Interesting plays. Use an app so captions appear on my mobile on certain dates.

Amazing, acclaimed theatre, producing some of the highest quality entertainment in London which is both thought provoking and moving.

Nice local pub with good selection of beer and cider on tap. We didn't stay for food but the menu looked great so we will be back.

Great little theatre. Perfect for seeing and experiencing close up theatre. New writers. Exciting stuff. Don't wear heavy clothing though cos it's small and hot inside.

Massive pub lively at the weekend...be prepared for a wait at the bar though...big pub few staff. But still ok place.

I went to see Scrooge and the Seven Dwarves. It was a fantastic show for young and old. It was interactive, funny, and kept the audience involved. I did not know what to expect going into the show, but I was beyond pleased when I left. The theatre is above a pub which is perfect for before and after the show. If you are in the mood for something other than pub food there is a a nice Thai restaurant across the street, Bangkok Bay.

This is a lovely intimate venue above the Lachmere pub. Friendly staff and a great location if you want to team the show with dinner or drinks (with it being right above a pub...) Went to see a small performance there recently and really enjoyed it - would definitely go again.

Good quality show that I saw, last minute tickets, not very glamorous but great for a treat that isn't too expensive.

Not the comfiest, but certainly one of the most important theatres in London, some fantastic social theatre and demonstrates again and again the importance of Theatre to the community.

Me and my 7 year old daughter went to see scrooge and the seven dwarfs it was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Having said I brought my 7 year old I would also recommend to it to people without children there is lots of adult humour that will go over the head of young children's head. Such a wonderful little theatre with friendly production and staff would give it 6 stars if I could.

Okay so the play I saw was fantastic. Wendy's big adventure. The actors were so bloody funny and the script and execution so brilliant it made up for the somewhat excessively priced tickets (considering the venue). It's such a small space and they've done well with it. Definitely needs a bell to ring on the pub floor to guide people that the play is starting or that an interval has ended.

We went to see Out Of Sorts this afternoon. Excellent writing, acting and production. Best piece of theatre in London. Go and see it.

This is a nice intimate venue, showcasing local and little known talent. However, the theatres itself is only accessible by a steep staircase in a corner of the pub and then ANOTHER set of stairs in another corner. Once you get into the auditorium you most likely will walk down a set of stairs to find your seat. The seats are reasonably comfortable bench style seats, the auditorium is cosy and I like the support for local talent. My main issue is that in 2020 the auditorium is very hard to access if you are anything but quite physically fit and able bodied. I spoke to staff and they recognise the issue. Apparently the company are looking for new premises. Plus points are that you can bring your drinks up from the pub downstairs and the staff are really lovely.

Variable quality of productions. Run fantastically by Paul Robinson and Tom Roseman in the day

Bit tricky to find (it's above the pub) but has great shows and friendly staff. Seats are comfortable enough too.

I think is an o.k. place. Could not sample the food because they star serving after 6pm And I was too early and could not wait, coffee was nice though

The pub aspect of the place downstairs was a disappointment with the usual thing of a busy staff not able to work out who to serve next but clearly favouring women rather than men. Perhaps the theatre and/or the pub should consider letting the theatre have its own bar upstairs then there wouldn't be this disjunction between the two activities.

Pub theatre venue putting on the best of new writing and with a great atmosphere

Interesting place, friendly staff and a good performance ("Confessional"). They gave us student discount even though we didn't have UK student cards. Small stage very close to the audience creates a unique atmosphere. And you're allowed to bring a drink from the bar downstairs (not sure if that's a plus, though).

Great theatre, lovely atmosphere. Would be 5 stars if fully accessible.
