Taj hotels are a class in itself. Pricing is probably way too exorbitant. The food is generally quite good in all 5 hotels. What you're paying for is probably the ambience.
It has good ambience....a good facility to spend time with family..... boat ride was excellent which was complimentary....nice food....only negative I found was it is a bit expensive compared to other five star properties

Weekend buffet lunch was good, but nothing special. The spread was poor, and the hotel has an aging decor. The charm is of course being on the island, but take that away and you're not left with much of a dining experience. The service was slightly above average, yet again, nothing special at all.
