Taj Malabar Review

Great location. Does not feel like a Vivanta brand but like Taj Deluxe, 5 star property. Was their the day 2500 passenger cruise ship sailed off from there I line Kochi harbour.

Awesome food.
Restaurant team is the best have everseen.
Calm & pleasant stay.
Rich property.
Decent Kids play area.
Enjoyed with family.

One of the best hotel in ernakulam..being a Taj , the hotel is trademarked for luxury..good restaurants with high class ambience but costly..

The best of all our stays. The ambience, soothing music, fragrance, view from the property, hospitality of staff, food, evening cruise in the boat, the welcome drink, the location, everything was so awesome that it looked like home away from home. Undoubtedly Taj's best property.

It's a classy place. It exudes charm, the place is superb. Service is genuinely warm and good. And for a change this Taj has the local people working unlike the Taj Vivanta at Kumaram which was so so terrible to visit

Formerly Taj Malabar, great location, great views. One of the best hotel in Kochi.

I havent got the opportunity to stay or see the interiors of the room. But based on the restaurant arrangements i have huge hopes. The view of the bridges and lake outside hotel was really stunning. Large variety of food was available. It was tasty also.staff seemed helpful.

The most attractive hotel and food in Kerala. Had a wonderful time

Good property located near the Cochin harbor. Their cheapest rooms are the heritage wing rooms which are slightly bigger in size but have no views. I would suggest to go for their Sea view rooms rather than their harbor view rooms. The pool has amazing views of the Arabian sea.

I wish I could give them more than 5... Undoubtedly best hotel of Kochi. Brilliant service, excellent hospitality and delicious food.. Been there for my anniversary celebration. They made it memorable.

They have offered a complementary surprise cake. It was one of the tastiest cake I have ever eaten. Swimming pool is beautiful, looks like directly connected to the sea.

It has several restaurants with different specialities..i.e. One for sea food, one for barbecue, one for liquor and so on.

Nice property & well maintained, with lot of options to enjoy. Staff is courteous. Will certainly visit again.

Beautiful location but the snack standards need improbement

Went there for their buffet lunch. Good food but the spread was limited. Good ambience. Wonderful property.

Had a brilliant stay. Hospitality in this hotal is fantastic.lobby is superb design. Room amenities are cool. . It was clean, good location, served a great breakfast and the staff were extremely helpful. Lunch and Dinner was excellent .Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again

Great location, great pool which is also suitable for sports swimmers. Very friendly staff and international breakfast from the croissant to the Dosa. The excellent massages by Esther and the great yoga classes by Mr. Garnees have a particularly lasting effect. Equally beautiful was the daily dance performance of traditional dances.

It's a really nice place. We had a lovely stay during Christmas however the breakfast wasn't as good as it could have been. Overall it was a great hotel with a luxurious experience.

A must visit

We dined here on our anniversary. The Rice Bowl restaurant, which is a boat attached to the side of the hotel building, is the place we chose. The cuisine is Kerala, with seafood being the highlight. The food was amazing, and the experience was nothing like I'd experienced elsewhere in Kerala. There's a wide spread of seafood to choose from. The dining experience has some unique elements - a sorbet that comes after appetizers and chocolate served on dry ice. Of course, being an elite hotel, the prices are on the higher side, but that's ok. After all, the experience is rich.

To the uninitiated, the Taj Malabar is close to a century old. Earlier known as the Malabar Hotel, it was constructed by the British to serve visitors of the Cochin Port, later handed over to the Taj Group.

I came here to do a band program.never treated this bad in any place...i got not food and i have been here from 2pm and left this place at 12 am..with empty stomach after a freakin marriage function for wich i was part of a band.and they also treated us like vermin.
