In 2020 I came to your property called The Escalades located in Mableton, GA. I dealt with Tracy Carrasquillo, she was not very welcoming and showing a home less than the square footage (Cochran) I was looking for and I told her exactly what I wanted, emphasized space. Money was not an issue I was willing to put down 20% of the sales price. Needless to say because of the way I was treated I did not get a home or was told about any other floor plan. I was forced to look elsewhere. Fast forward to current day September 2021, I walked in to give Escalades due to me see The Park at Creekside was the same company and said to stop by for more information. This time I spoke with Sherry Richardson (I love her) she has the best attitude. I expressed I want to work with only her, along with my wants and concerns. She showed me the Buffington, I immediately said yes to this. I am giving Smith Douglas homes another chance only because of Sherry Richardson. I could have been this community a year ago but due to your Sales agent Tracy, she missed out on a sales and made it not possible. I am not happy with Smith Douglas homes as a whole and will be contacting the BBB about the initial sales agent. She needs to learn customer service skills and be advised this is 2021 not 1941. I have worked hard all my life come from a Military family, I myself work in Government since 2017 therefore I have no issue with providing funding if she assumed that was the case but she never wanted to find out. That is exactly how you loose a great sale. I am disappointed but hoping the young lady now can assist in a better way.

Smith Douglas created a beautiful home for my wife and I! We are so thankful to them for helping us along the way. As first time home owners we really appreciate the guidance from Fred, Dee and John! They made the process of purchasing our first home more enjoyable. They have also been so helpful even after we have closed on the home. For that, we are very thankful!

No quality, integrity, or value.
I would never buy a home from smith Douglas again. The quality of these homes are very cheap and the workmanship is sloppy. I think a 2 year old could do a better job. The warranty department is terrible at helping and takes forever to send people out to fix your problems.

My husband and I built our first home with Smith & Douglas in Charlotte,NC and I honestly don t think we could be more pleased. From the time we started working with Sunday Dunn she made the process as smooth as possible. She was just as excited about the building of our home as we were which made the updates GREAT! Additionally, if anything came up or we had questions everyone we worked with from Sunday all the way to Claude, the construction manager was responsive! We 100% recommend them!

Loving my new home. Was a great experience with the home busing process with Melissa. We are very happy that we picked SDH as our home.
Its my first buy and had a great experience in every step, from the start with going under contract and with the construction with foundation to complete.

I just want to say Thank You to builder Marty. He is the best. His responsibility and the ownership is incredible. I hope every professional were like him. He is the best. So positive, generous, professional, just everything.

If I had an issue, the office did not put the right kitchen faucet design in the contract, and it came.to a surprise when we saw a different one installed. So make sure they put it on the paper!

Smith Douglas did an amazing job with our new construction build. From our original walk through when it was just a concrete slab, to keeping us updated during the process, to our final walk through. Every person we worked with was professional, answered all questions we had, and were so great to work with. We ve only been in our new house for 3 weeks, but everything is perfect and we couldn t have asked for a better experience.

When you buy a new home you may expect some minor issues in which most of the time are taken care of during the warranty period. We did have some quality issues in our new home we bought from SDH (Smith Douglas Homes) and they have been taking care of during the warranty period.
During the 15th month anniversary of the house, we received a water bill which was over 4 times our normal use of water. We found there was a leak in the main water supply line to the house and it was growing bigger every day. We contacted SDH but since we were officially out of the warranty they ignored all our requests to check it out. We hired a leak detection service that found the leak under the house slab (under one of the bedrooms), apparently, the main water line was not laid directly into the house main valve instead it was doing a detour and laid under the house slab.
Since this was an emergency and the SDH did not officially respond (for two weeks) we hired a plumber to install a new water line to the house ($$$$).
Even though I sent to SDH a copy of the water bills (along with pictures and documents), proving the leak started in the month when the house was still under warranty, SDH still did not respond at all, not even trying to sympathize with my problem or offering ways to resolve it - nothing!
So when you buy a new home from Smith Douglas Homes, Remember, once the warranty is officially over, even one day, they do not know who you are and ignore you completely.
I personally, do not recommend anymore Smith Douglas Homes.

Service: New construction

This was our first experience buying a home, not to mention a new build. The process was relatively stress free with all things considered. We received weekly updates and had very few issues maintaining contact with the leasing agent. Our only critique would be that we would have loved to have seen a better description of what the final product would look like from the beginning. This way, the buyer can have a better understanding of what the options chosen initially - interior and exterior - will look like all pieced together. Overall, we are happy and over the moon living in our beautiful new home!
