Well decorated restaurant. The pizzas were very wet and the dough was clearly undercooked. The taste of the toppings was very tasty, almost impossible to eat normally. When we asked if the pizzas were always baked that way, we were told that it was 'really' Neapolitan.

Favorite pizzas and now also favorite restaurant! Years ago I tasted the pizzas of Old Scuola for the first time during Swan Market Rotterdam, then often at festivals and other events. We were pleasantly surprised to find out a few months ago that they now have a restaurant. The combinations are surprising but tasty. The dough of the pizza is different than we are used to but that makes it just so good for us. The starters good (tip: go for the tuna tartar)! Operation friendly and fast. Also nice: there are local beers sold and tasty wines.

5 stars for staff and ingredients choice for the products used and the total hut starters and desserts are really super LKKR but what matters is the pizza he leaves stars the most important of a pizza is the bottom and that is just not LKKR as you like a real Italian pizza, what it lacks is the taste of wood from the oven, the airiness of the dough and salt and the crispness of the bottom like a good Italian pizza, this makes the pizza limp and powerful, yes any Italian pizza becomes limp due to the thin bottom but only after half a pizza but this is already on the board and that is a shame with such a good choice of the ingredients that are used and the professionalism time of the staff

The pizza itself is very good, you can see from the flour they use (caputo blu) which is the best one to make real italian pizza. About the ingredient on top they are of superior quality, but the amount they put on top is very little. The service is very nice and the minimalist format makes it unique.

Simply the most beautiful eating space I have been too. Which would count for nothing if the food was bad, but the pizza thankfully matched the surroundings. It was so good to have so many vegetarian options too. If I lived in Rotterdam, this would definitely be a regular haunt. Exceptional.

In recent months, there has been a major negative shift when it comes to service, and perhaps quality of pizza, as well. This used to be my favourite pizza joint in town, and after waiting for more than an hour for my food in my previous two visits (mid-week, 2-4 guests, no one outside and open seats inside), I have no plans of going back. This type of pizza cooks in what... 3 minutes, max? There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of wait. Despite complaints and clear dissatisfaction (from myself and other tables, both times), employees have no empathy for customers, giving only weak excuses, and nothing is ever offered to try to improve the experience. I don't see Old Scuola lasting very long if management does not take feedback like this seriously, especially when you can have good pizza at O'pazzo around the corner, where even on a packed Friday night my pizza arrived 10 minutes after it was ordered in a group of 10. To the management - much of your clientele is international, like me, and not willing to put up with horrible service, even by Dutch standards. Good luck with that fancy catering business! Maybe you should focus more energy on the service of your restaurant and satisfaction of your (previously) returning, paying customers.

Food ok, service absolutely below average: not alert, not service-oriented. My friends and I are not going back to this. I recommend that you visit another (Italian) restaurant.
Our experience (4 persons):
- Control knows that there is a draft at the window, but does nothing about it. We were not the first to point this out. Customers who were seated next to us were assigned our seats first and moved because of the cold. We did not accept this table either. Customers after us also commented on it.
- on the menu (starter) you can find poached egg, if necessary. expandable with truffle. According to the waiter, this combination was not possible, because he could not pass on the dish via his pocket computer. When we pointed out that it is on the menu that way, it turned out to be possible.
- Starter dishes had not yet been collected when we received our main course. Had to wait a long time for new cutlery.
- At the end of our starter we ordered a bottle of red wine to accompany the main course (pizza). By the time we had half finished our pizza and asked where the wine was, the waiter said he forgot to tell us that the wine we ordered was gone.
The food tastes fine, but was not appealing due to the substandard service. A pity, because more than 200 have been spent here (4 people).

The pizza was bland ... but the service was smooth ... until dessert, because it never came. The lady who took the order apparently did not focus on my order (affogato) but on the countdown of the last minutes of her shift. (7:00 pm ????) No matter to come back again.

Old Scuola is in my top 3 of fine dinner places in Rotterdam! The menu changes frequently, which makes it nice for us to come back regularly. Tip: share both the appetizers and the pizzas with your group, so you can taste everything;) don't forget their own burrata (very tasty !!). The atmosphere in the restaurant is accessible and cozy. For a quick bite at the bar and otherwise sit at one of the tables (tip: ask for one of the tables on the balustrade overlooking the kitchen, nice to see how the pizza bakers are doing). In addition, they have a good wine selection (organic / natural wines). Service is good, ladies and gentlemen always welcome you nicely and always say hello (something we really appreciate when we eat somewhere). We always feel very welcome. All in all definitely worth 5 *!

Tonight helped wonderfully by Sabina. Operation can make or break it. People, Sabrina makes it. Ever at Old Scuola the pizza Salsica eaten but unfortunately it has disappeared from the menu. Every time we are there I ask for it and Sabina has managed to make the pizza in the kitchen this pizza for us. Great class. Fast service, eye for details at the table, different type of pizza than at the regular pizzerias.

The pizza is just perfect, perhaps the best I've ever had in my whole life. Yet I don't understand why Polenta is among the desserts and why I should enjoy parmigiano reggiano on a Margherita, as parmigiano doesn't belong on Margherita. Very fancy place with friendly employees

Bad, unfriendly service, mediocre pizza (dough too soft, all ingredients slip off, watery tomato sauce).

We have come to Rotterdam mainly because we were in love after a showcase and taste of Old Scuola in Aachen, Germany, but we were extremely disappointed when we weren't greeted at the entrance, weren't accompanied to a table, the service staff just left without a word when i was still mid-sentence, we didnt receive an explanation that we should order with our smartphones and had to figure that out on our own, etc. Not at all client-centered.

Best pizza from Rotterdam, pure ingredients, delicious dough exactly like in Italy. My partner is Italian (Napoli) and finds this pizzeria really super tasty. I can really recommend this to anyone. Atmosphere is really great! Good and always friendly service.

Save yourself a return trip to Naples, forget about the village idiot, this is the place to be for real Neapolitan pizza! Finally, this delicious pizza in wood-fired ovens is also available in Rotterdam. You can taste the love that the craftsmen or craftsmen display there for this classic pizza in every bite. The operation and appearance of the establishment complete the outing. We are waiting for the first Neapolitans to report to Old Scuola and admire the original wood-fired Neapolitan pizza.
