Northwind Aviation

I flew with Northwind from Homer to McNeil River in July and back in August 2017. They are amazing and the best of the best. Their pilots Jimmy and Jose are wonderful and some of the most proficient floatplane pilots alive. It was a pleasure knowing they were in command of the aircraft. The flights were perfect and everything went like clockwork. I highly recommend them to anyone flying out of Homer.

Northwind Aviation is top notch! I grew up flying with Jose and his Dad, around Homer, Kachemak Bay, and the far side of Cook Inlet and I trust him to fly our family and our guests anywhere. We consider him one of the best bush pilots in Alaska! He is 100% focused on safety, and provides high quality customer service along with a fabulous flight. Both Jimmy and Jose are amazing bush pilots! The planes are awesome, and I always know my family and our clients are safe with Northwind. We fly with them personally and professionally, and can not recommend Jose and Jimmy highly enough.

I flew with Jimmy for a one hour sightseeing tour in June. It was an incredible experience. He made sure we saw plenty of wildlife, lots of goats and several bears! It was so much fun I went home and started taking flying lessons. I am six hours in, hopefully one day I can come back and fly again! Thanks Jimmy!
