Very nice hotel overlooking sailboat bay in Coconut grove. Too bad the Grove has suffered so much over the years and has lost its luster as a place to enjoy in Miami. (Southbeach took its toll.) The old Theme room Mutiny has given way to some very nice suites at a reasonable cost.

From the moment my family entered we were hit with smiling faces and an amazing refreshing aromas. This small quaint hotel stood tall and represented. The rooms are light and airy. The view of the bay is yo die for. The staff are great i love that they are individuals and not pretentious robots. Crystal from the front desk you are amazing thank you for providing us with more than a stay it was an experience 2 thumbs up.

One of the receptionists, Victor was very rude to me. While I was staying at the hotel, I went downstairs to meet with a friend and on the way back inside there was a fair amount of people entering the building and he picks me out from the crowd and asks me if I need anything in an antagonistic tone. I thought it was a joke at first. After grinning at him awkwardly for a few seconds, I realized he was being serious. At that point I pulled out my room key and told him my room number. He then decided to further inconvenience me by making me wait while he pulled up the information on the computer anyway. Keeping in mind that I had come in with a friend I was meeting with, it was quite an embarrassing incident and not something any guest at a hotel should have to go through.
Now that I'm going through the other reviews, I'm noticing that I'm not the only one that thinks the staff is incompetent and unfriendly. Something should be done about that.

I am an Event Planner specializing in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, South Miami and Pinecrest. I recently planned a Black Tie Wedding in Coconut Grove. The vast majority of guests were from out of town.
I worked with the Senior Sales Manager, Wendy Zane, last summer to secure large room block for this past January. Wendy was incredibly helpful, gave us great rates, and kept in close contact with me during the planning process.
All of the guests were thrilled with their accomdations! Not only were the rooms lovely, but very reasonably priced as well. All of the staff at The Mutiny went out of their way to make my guests feel welcomed. They were friendly, courteous and helpful. 5 stars!!!!

Older style hotel so expect some age related attributes. It's in an awesome location and the pool and spa (and man made waterfall) area is one of the nicest I've ever experienced. Just something about its design and lighting that was perfect. Park round the corner for $12 a night and not $30 at the hotel. Yup, really enjoyed it and would reccomend.

The rooms were furnished in an almost laughably shabby way. The kitchen was fine, but nothing special. It reminded me of a motel. I found a bug in the bathroom my first night. I was not satisfied, given the amount of money we were paying (especially given that our room had no view). I saw a few different rooms, but they were all the same. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, but he was cold, rude and unhelpful. I told him we wanted to cancel our reservation and stay somewhere else (because bugs) and he kept $300 of our money. On Christmas no less. I used to think so highly of the Mutiny. Never again.

Quite little hotel south of miami with a decent view (if you get the right room) of the ocean and the city

the rooms seem like apartments and not hotel rooms which gives a very homely feeling

the restaraunt is good and the service is friendly

Issues: older hotel that is unmaintained so it makes weird noises, the first people you speak to don't speak english in the slightest (valets), and some of things in the room the can not be put in a laundry machine have interesting stains about them

It is very pretty on the surface at first glance. The lobby was pretty clean and the rooms were quite large. However, at second glance, room really wasn t very clean, needed fresh paint, and the outlets were loose. It is clear they don t keep up with maintenance in the rooms. Also, the shower is a big deep tub that is not easy to step in and out with ease. This morning I fell back into the tub, kind ticks me off.

Beautiful facility with spacious and well furnished apartments. Affordable price for the Miami average. Quiet coconut Grove resort, with nearby harbor and many restaurants within walking distance. Very convenient for visiting Miami and its surroundings. Available in the complete room kitchen with fridge and microwave, really comfortable for long stay. Mandatory parking with Vallet comfortable even if a little expensive !! Recommended!!

Friendly service, neat historical significance, and great location within sight of the ocean and in walking distance of restaurants and other shops.

The rooms are extremely spacious, with fridge, washing machine, living room, balcony etc.

The hotel just needs some good maintenance. My bathroom towel rack had stripped screws and was falling out of the wall. Almost none of the light switches work, and required me to physically unplug lights.

But I'm not picky and it didn't overly bother me. So if you're okay with things like that, it's a nice setup.

You feel good when you walk into this Hotel. Its a very sharp, plush and comfortable hotel, its updated, spacious, clean,...and very clean (it doesn't smell funny). Service throughout hotel is impeccable....Swing shift Bartender is a little grumpy, but that's OK . Beds and Linens are great quality, Bathroom has space and quality fixtures. The one thing to note: Its not a "View Hotel" but the place makes up for it in everything else!

I really had a bad time here we were having a family get together and the security officer kept on harassing us as if we were the only people at the pool. It was more as a racist thing than anything the other party was making noise as well and was never talked to about the noise level. We went to our room the police was called and our guest had to leave the security officer was very rude and disrespectful to us. We were not treated equally and we paid our money as well as they did i will not recommended no one to stay here due to the security officer nasty attitude and the fact that he made fasle accusations towards us not please. I really wish i can get my money back because the stay was not worth it.......

The hotel very nice, clean, and the rooms comfortable, lacks a bit of arrangement to the carpet in the room; the bad thing to pay for parking and when you search for any search engine says it has breakfast and that is a lie; the staff are very friendly and attentive.

This hotel was modern and very clean. I was impressed with how good it smelled. I know that sounds weird, but so many places have a musty or dirty smell. The room space was great and looked new. The bed was great. We had a nice view of the bay. The pool area was clean and tropical. We would stay again.

Excellent rooms with kitchen, balcony, nice size bathroom, and comfortable beds. Pool area is unique with Bar and areas to relax. Location is right downtown minutes from food and activities. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I shook my head with a mandatory charge for $30 to valet park and park your car in a normal spot right next to hotel as you would normally.

We ve stayed at the room 504 upon arrival and the room was very bad. The sofa bed was not usable to the point that we had to bring our own mattress so our kid can sleep. Hotel couldn t provide roll away bed or another bed. Thankfully we were moved to another room and and our stay was much better. Staff is helpful, professional and friendly. Restaurant food was good.

From start to finish attentive to every detail, very clean rooms, great ambience. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom spotless. Pool was surrounded by beautiful foliage and lovely orchids. The Mutiny is a gem in Coconut Grove. Will definitely return!
Extra thanks for Jesus for taking care of every detail and making us feel welcome!!!
