i don't even like pizza, but mario batali always seems to know how to blow my mind and sway me into loving things. start off with the bone marrow. it's creamy, delicious and perfect. i don't even remember which pizza we ordered, but we ordered 4 and all were delicious! go. right now.
what a pizza, is delicious, this restaurant worth the trip just for the pizza. everything else is ok.
Fried squash blossoms make your taste buds blossom,
Meat balls are mind blowing amaze balls,
Pizzas are novel but still delicious creations,
And the BUTTERSCOTCH BUDINO IS WORTH LICKING THE CUP FOR.
...yeah, I work in the oil business because I obviously can't survive as a poet.
Never had a bad experience here. Service can be spotty sometimes, but you won't really care because your mouth is in heaven.
Ahhhhhhh (that's supposed to be angels singing)
My favorite location for quality Pizza. It was so delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive. This place has a great feel to it.
Excellent pasta and though this shop is more of a "take-out" place, I find the pasta presents better and is more enjoyable when I eat it there. Be warned, however, seating can be limited. You have to wonder if they will move to a larger space, now that Pizzeria Mozza has been proven to be such a hit in the LA.
The pizza is ok but overpriced. Not too many veggie options. Parking is almost non existent which means you need to use their valet. Service was horrible. When we arrived we were missing one person and they argued that we need the whole party to be seated which I find ridiculous. Add to that the 60 mins we had to wait until we actually got our food. Avoid this place, not worth it
Spent $60 on pizza to feed three people. Atmosphere was ok. Won't be returning. Over priced.
One of my favorite pizza place, they have great wines and dessert is simply awesome
Meatballs are amazing! Fennel sausage pizza not my taste. But salame pizza is my favorite
Good. Extremely hip. Small plates. Which translates to small, expensive portions.
This is such an awesome downtown pizza spot. The Burrata and cauliflower appetizer was fantastic. I had gluten free pepperoni and hubby had the porky. Everything here is so tasty and the decor is awesome.
Uhhhh I hate that the pizza is so good because it's also digging a deep hole in my pocket . It's hard to not pay the high price when the ingredients are so good though . They also make everything to perfection . The deal that used to be after 10pm was great not sure if the still do it but they should bring it back . Pizza wine and dessert for $20
I had received a $100 gift card, took my 2 friends to PizzariaMozza yesterday. We waited long after adjoining tables received their food, finally got the pizzas for my friends. They were delicious. I had ordered the Lasagna Special, it took longer than my friends pizza, very awkward waiting, and finally it arrived, hot on top, hardly warm in the middle, and bottom. My PizzariaMozza expectations were not met this evening, and will not dine there again.
A bit pricey for personal size pizza...but then again so is anything else that is good and worthwhile. Great place for a specual treat or to celebrate special occasions- would definitely recommend!
One of my favorite places to eat! There are several great menu options.
The crust the crust ! The crust on this pizza is really different and very delicious. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive. Is it the very very best pizza I ve ever had in my life? No. But the crust is. Also it is very pricey for what you get.
The Insalata salad was huge, split it with a friend, so good! I got the breakfast style pizza, egg, bacon, potato, fontina, sottocenere & cipollini onions. Different, but very good. Split a coconut sorbet pie slice with hot fudge and salted toasted almonds.it was all good, but the toasted almonds were perfect. This is a small busy venue. The wait has never been too bad, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Try to sit at the larger bar for a view of pizza coming out of the wood fired oven.
My favorite place for quality Pizza. It was so delicious. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I loved.
Menu was limited but food was mostly good. Service excellent
This restaurant is a great mix of casual and classy. I stopped in for lunch and had the meatball pizza and fried squash blossoms. Both were great. The atmosphere is pretty laid back. The service is very personal and attentive. The hardest part is finding a good place to park. The inside can get a bit cramped as the space is limited and maybe call ahead to make sure there isn't a huge wait.
Food was good, but not amazing (except for the garlic bread). The server was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Good lighting and decor.
- garlic bread: 5/5
- fennel sausage pizza: 3/5
- mozarella pizza with fresh tomato sauce: 3/5
BEST LA pizzeria!!! The fried squash blossom stuffed with ricotta, bacon, potato and egg pizzaand the margherita pizza were phenomenal.
I had really high hope for this place but I didn't really like the flavor combination and everything was way to salty.
Great place! Reminds me of italy. The food is always amazing. The Duck Confit is amazing. The list of spirits is always something to look forward to trying.
Pizzas that will transport you back to Italy. A hard reservation to get - book 30 days out or you'll be left eating at 4:30 or 10:30 pm.
Expensive but the pizza is amazing. The cellar area is particularly nice.
Always great pizza. Get the Pane Bianco (garlic bread) with salad to start. Then, try the Pizza Bianca while it is sizzling hot.
Best Pizza I have had in a long time. Maybe it was because I just danced my butt off for a few hours next door but all I can remember is this pizza being so amazing!! I ordered the Spinach and Tomato Pizza and it was so good I wish I had ordered two slices.
I would come out here from Los Angeles Beach just to have another slice. I love that they are open when the clubs are closing, that way you can get a quick bite to eat afterward.
I visit Houston occasionally and this place is always on my list ! Amazing Indian food at reasonable prices :) this time, ras malai and chicken curry made my day !
Had the squash blossom pizza and the egg, bacon, potato pizza. Both were very good. Service needs some improvement. Waitress only offered their wine special and didn't take any other drink orders. All the pizzas didn't come out at the same time.
Fun place that inspires lots of laughs. The wine list is great. If you venture out of your comfort zone of sausage pizza you will not be disappointed. Give yourself some time this place gets packed.
Kind of small and crowded but the food was well worth the tight and loud squeeze
Great, fun restaurant. And the pizza is some of the best in LA
Pizza and the setting at this place is excellent. Loved this place from the first taste. The service here is friendly.
Best pizza in L.A!!!. I come here every weekend with my friends and sometimes by myself. It s cheap tasty and I love it!
Small portions for a lot of dinero. Service is good but not really worth it.
Possibly the best pizza place in LA. Their olives, a must try!
I love the liver from there is so tasty and the pizza just delicious
Before this week, I hadn't been to Beretta in over 5 years. I've walked by it hundreds if not thousands of times since then and always thought I should go to Beretta more often. My experience this week proved that to me. On a Monday night, we arrived around 7 and were promptly seated (not sure if that's normal).
I have gone to Nancy Silverton s Pizza Mozza, 3 times it is a little loud and the tables are to close together, but the food was good, My biggest disappointment was my third visit, on a Saturday at 4:00 pm. The food was way to salty! The staff said they use kosher salt which has a heavy finish. Nancy, watch your staff, they are ruining your dishes. I couldn t taste the flavor of the bitter vegetable in my octopus dish, it was so over salted I sent it back. So very disappointed
One of the best pizza I've ever tasted - perfect size, really good flavours and a great atmosphere with brilliant staff.
I went here for bday brunch on a Saturday! One great thing is you can make reservations! We all know making a reservation is rare at popular spots.
Mario batali's place, great wine and pizza, try the white anchovy pizza and the bruschetta and dont forget the grilled octopus
This is the best Italian food I've had in the bay area. Would recommend anything with Pizzeria Mozza in it. Pizzeria Mozza and pizza were both immaculate.
The pizza was delicious because they offer top quality toppings however I'm not too keen on the type of flour they use for their pizza; it doesn't seem to be the classic'00' flour which is a lot finer than the general purpose flour you can buy at the supermarket. Don't get me wrong, I'm nit picking here, because the pizza was nice and crispy and was well seasoned. The tables are a little cramped but the bar experience and ambiance was nice and casual. The only other negative is the price; spending 110 for 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas and 2 beers is bonkers. Still worth 4/5 because at least the food quality didn't disappoint me.
well its very good coming here often because the service never changes
AMAZING Pizzas! No wonder they are rated No. 1 pizza in L.A.
The best pizza I ever had. Absolutely recommend this place to my friends.
The anchovies were great but the prices are way too high for pizza. Not a big fan of bone marrow...
After hearing rave reviews about Pizzeria Mozza, I had to check out the restaurant for myself. For the antipasti, our server recommended the cauliflower fritti, which was a hit. The batter was crispy and well-seasoned, and the aioli dipping sauce was a good accompaniment. We also ordered the artichoke dip of sorts, and while I love artichoke, the dish was too oily for me. After a few bites, I wished for some hot tea to cleanse all the oiliness from my palate. As for the pizzas, the funghi misti contained an abundance of flavorful mushrooms, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really a mushroom lover because all the fungi can get a little overwhelming. The "meat lovers" pizza had a great crust and the meats were delicious, especially the fennel sausage and even the bacon, which I usually don't prefer. The only drawback to this place is the overall greasiness of the dishes, which left me feeling uncomfortably full and sleepy post-lunch. I've always trusted chefs like Mario Batali who are more on the rotund side but this place is definitely a visit only in moderation.
Food is super fresh. Good flavors it just missing a bit of a kick to it. The place itself is designed plainly. The main problem I had was the size of the tables, too small and uncomfortable.
My favorite location for quality pizza. I love going here. I look forward to a return trip. The bill was fair. Atmosphere is similar to a cafe in San Jose I loved.
Our favorite pizza! Quick delivery, delicious sauce, and awesome mozzarella sticks! This is our go to weeknight delivery.
This has been my go-to place for pizza every time I come to LA. I can never get enough of the pizza crust and the variety of toppings. Nancy Silverton does it best!
Celebrity chefs Nancy Silverton and Mario Batali wow with the help of the kind, helpful, waitstaff and killer thin crust pizza. Perhaps more surprising are the inexpensive tabs which encourage people to keep coming back... If they can get a reservation.
Good food, mussels and pizza was delicious. But the service was really slow and I don't like that the tables are so close. I'm not very comfortable sitting so close to people I don't know. I don't like I can hear or they can hear our conversations.
Best pizza ever! Glad to have a place like this local.
Small place- make a reservation. The food is very good. Service was very nice and professional.
The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The pizza was delicious. Although each pizza is around $25, I would say that if you want to splurge a little and have an absolutely wonderful pizza then it's totally worth it.
Years later I have finally made it here! Mario Batali is amazing and one of my favorite chefs! I love eating at all his restaurants. A few of us came here for lunch and everything was delicious!
Chicken Liver Toast is a must!
Buratta Crostini is also a must! Very flavorful
Fennel sausage pizza: very tasty
Prosciutto and arugula pizza: this was good and light, but the fennel sausage was my favorite of the two pizzas.
Don't forget about the dessert! There are so many good options here.. but we decided on the butterscotch and that was perfect
The pizza is delicious. They naturally ferment the crust, so it is easier to digest and feels great to eat. We had a special fried dough dish that was awesome. Their desserts (we have had a butterscotch one and a caramel and peanut one) are literally the best we've ever had. And we've had a lot. Mozza costs less than Pizziana though the quality is comparably high.
Good overall Italian Pizza
Service can improve a bit.
Considering that we are in the USA above average but in my opinion far from Italian standards
Normal price
The pizza was phenomenal. I had a white pizza with breakfast toppings that might have been the best thing I've ever had. Salad was also great, and they have a very nice beer and wine selection.
If you want to have a bite, must visit this place. They made great pizza in town. I love the service. Very polite.
Had my birthday dinner at Pizzeria Mozza last night and totally enjoyed everything about this place from the service to the food and the wine. If you are looking for good Italian food with an elegant yet casual atmosphere Pizzeria Mozza is the place to go. There menu offers something for everyone and their desserts are fabulous. We will definitely be going back!
