+ Great location near Time Square, lots of services around and sights. Very beautiful and trendy.
- Room very noisy at night because of roof top and music (earplugs available) and air conditioning that starts automatically at 6am. No view outside from the room. Neglected service

I was there for a 40th birthday party. The hotel staff was fantastic. The rooms are small but well configured and cozy. The one complaint was the noise. Everything was loud. The street noise, the elevator music, and the bar. Crazy Loud. At least they provide bed side ear plugs. Bravo.

The hotel location is a good distance between subway and times square itself. Plenty of shops and dining options available. Staff are always available when needed. I booked a double bed room which is actually a single room squeezed with 2 beds. For the price paid, the room could have been a little bigger. Rooms are well maintained by staff. No safe box available.

Upon arrival the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the hip vibe gives the hotel an interesting feel, but unfortunately the rooms are more meant for a couple of 2 than an entire family

The first night I was awoken at 1am due to the fire alarm glitching and going off for 45mins straight, and after calling the front desk a few times the alarm finally stopped, but I had probably lost about 2 hours of sleep.

Rooms are very cramped and tiny, but if you have a party of 1 or 2 then its quite cost. The rooftop bar is very loud at night but earplugs are offered. The beds are extremely comfy and the shower is excellent, except the fact that the water creeps from the bathroom straight to the bunk beds

Overall great location, great vibe and great staff but there are other good hotels better than this around time square vicinity

We stayed here for a night when in town to catch a couple of shows and had a great time. The rooms are very small by typical hotel standards but as expected for NYC, but what was unique was their use of hanging pegs and folding furniture as seen in pics, which was actually very useful and functional. The bathroom was actually quite spacious and a great shower. I liked having the sink in the room outside the bathroom. The staff was warm and helpful. The second floor lounge was usually empty enough to find a place to sit, relax and have a drink. Location-wise it was an easy walk to the theaters. Overall the hotel felt new and crisp and we would definitely stay here again on our next trip to this part of the city.

Great hotel for young people and young at heart! Rooms are clean and cozy small! There are 4 lifts so you never have to wait long! Empire State Building, Time Square, Macy's nearby. As well as cafes and restaurants around the corner. Everything easily accessible. Will definitely stay at my next New York visit to the Moxy! Staff in the hotel was super nice and helpful.

Cool hotel, with a nice bar and theme. Bedroom was small, but decorated in a way to make a good use of every space. It was a bit too noisy at night, but I managed with some earplugs. The location is pretty good, close by shops and attractions we wanted to go.

The hotel is in a great location and looks quite fancy from the outside and in the lobby. The staff had technical difficulties while trying to check us in, normally not a problem, but we had a late check in at 1am and I was really ready to sleep! The room was on the smaller side, but that isn't something that I mind. I added a picture of the view from the window (we were almost on the corner). The first thing I noticed was how cold it was in the room, although the thermostat was set to 72. We turned it up to 74 but that made the windows fog up and it got humid in there fast! So we turned it back down and I wore a sweatshirt in the room most of the time. Also, the remote wasn't working so the tv was useless. I was a big fan of the bathroom and the shower.. while we were using it. Afterward, however, the shower would not turn off. The hot water turned off as normal, but the cold water didn't turn off, no matter which way we turned the handle. Room service had to deal with that one. Anyway, the staff seemed friendly enough and it was in a great location so it did it's job. But none of the perks were there. I believe we way overpaid for that trip!

There is a lot of noise at night, I believe there is a party at the hotel because the whole night was noisy. In addition I stayed in a room near the elevator and all night I heard the noise of the elevator (when he reaches the floor he beeps). I do not recommend it for those who like a good night's sleep.

Nice fashion ipster ( unfortunately ) hotel!
Small rooms, ( 2 big bags are a problem ) but nice.
A bit too expensive for what it is. Nice roof top where to have a drink ( a bit too expensive as well )
Nice just behind the corner there is a very small but good place for breakfast....
It's good the position very close to times square of this hotel...

Lovely hotel. Very chic and trendy and has an awsome bar! The front desk associates are FANTASTIC! We had two young ladies by the names Tuhreen and Diana who helped us the first day we checked in and they we're very sweet and helpful. They made our stay very pleasant with their sparkling personality. Loved them! Would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city!

positive
- location
- design
- clean
- nice shower and comfy bed

negative
- we had breakfast included. they sell it for 23$!! which is not worth it at all!!
- unhealthy breakfast - typically for america
- fiji water for 5$ in the room is a joke
- noise, we could only sleep with earplugs
- smell of food in our room on the 3rd floor
- checkin was confusing. we had to ask for breakfast vouchers, they were not given to us automatically

suggestion for breakfast
- add some veggies (tomato, bell pepper, cucumber...)
- add simple and cheap oat insteat of only sugared cereal
- maybe one kind of sausage is enough
- more fruit choices

Good location & very friendly staff but no one seemed to know what they were doing at check-in. Room wasnt ready 'til 5p (1 hour past check-in) and they never gave us our pet items that came w/ the room nor our "welcome drinks".
Room was fine: modern & equipped w/ Netflix but pillows were cheap and we could hear our neighbors (& all of NYC) all night long. Guess that's why there's earplugs on the nightstand when you arrive?
Lounge/bar area was the highlight and the fact that hotel is dog friendly is a plus, altho they charge $150 for the pet fee. Easy access to Midtown & Broadway a plus.

Extremely loud throughout the night. I could only fit on the bed diagonally. Crowded bars, lobby, everywhere. Do not stay here if you desire sleep or a space to relax after working all day or enjoying a full day in the city.

Probably great for the all-night crowd.

The location and the rooms were awesome! My friend and I loved how the room was cozy and had internet tv to watch Netflix and YouTube. The Bluetooth connectivity was great as well. In the evening we went to the bar to redeem our tokens for a glass of prosecco before heading out to explore Time Square. The only minor complaint is that the elevators sometimes took a long time to arrive to the floors. I will recommend this hotel to others for the central location and being close to Pennsylvania Station where a lot of busses leave from to D.C.

Great for being a tourist, not so great for work or training. I think for the price, The Moxy is a great value. It gives you a place to sleep and shower. The little touches of tech and function almost hit the mark. Almost.

Win's:
-USB ports on outlets.
-Bluetooth Soundbar under TV for music in the morning(or whenever)
-Great waterfall shower head
-Chromecast on TV
-Hooks on walls are a great compromise for not having a closet.

Fails:
-Bluetooth soundbar under the TV isn't linked to the TV. At least mine wasn't. How much does a 2' optical cable cost?
-Chromecast on the TV doesn't register as an activity so the TV shuts off due to inactivity. Meaning in the middle of whatever you were watching, the TV shuts off and you can't stop it.
-Bunkbed style setup. My room wasn't ready so I got moved to a queen room with a bunk. I figured no problem, I'm here for work. The problem is the bunk bed structure creaked non stop. Even when I was standing next to it. Made getting to sleep a minor challenge.
-NO FRIDGE. This is probably documented someplace and not the reason of a dropped star. But for someone that was unfortunately here for work, not having a place to store a cold drink was a rough experience.

All in all, I think the creaking was a one off. I doubt all the rooms do it. The chromecast issue isn't a problem if you aren't in the room. Neither is the no fridge. So the Moxy is a GREAT place to stay if you are vacationing. Just not so great if you are working. But it fit in the per diem rate, so... yeah.

Excellent Service Overshadows Everything at Moxy NYC Times Square

I was pretty exited for my 1st trip to New York.

Booking a Marriott hotel where I'm a member and we'd have quality rooms seemed like the safe bet. But upon arriving, I was shocked at how small the room was as I'd never seen 1 that compared. It wasn't like any other Marriott I'd stayed at previously.

About a day into our stay, on the app, I was prompted to rate our experience. While I'm not into leaving bad reviews (especially if it's something that can't be fixed), I couldn't help but be honest about how irked I was by the size of the room. I'm 6"3' and with a bad dream, I could possibly kick the flat screen off the wall. My girlfriend actually did knock a wooden fixture, tightly fitted right next to her, on the floor (she sleeps like a Tasmanian Devil :).

Immediately, the front desk reached out and asked for my email. Soon after a manager contacted me and without any hesitation, offered my girlfriend and I a dinner at their Legasea restaurant for her birthday (and WOW was it good).

We couldn't figure out how they knew it was her birthday. When we got back to the room, we were even more surprised at the candles, decorations and birthday wishes in our room. It was truly charming. All the sudden, whatever I was complaining about seemed unimportant. We later found out that a friend had called the front desk to ask if they could do the decorations which is even more impressive that they allowed it and remembered us.

The staff really supported our experience in a way that made an initially uncomfortable experience into something truly memorable and unforgettable.

(They even provide ear plugs for the loud music on the weekends!)

Thank you Moxy Staff

Loved this hotel! This was the first time I booked my own hotel before. The staff made it easy and simple for check-in and out. I ended up switching to this hotel last minute because it was so affordable. The staff was very nice. The location & vibe are amazing. My only downside was that the walls are quite thin and I could literally hear conversation from my neighbors. Luckily I was so tired from my daytime activities that I was able to pass out and get some rest.

The hotel is very well placed, ideal for visits! Roof top and bar are a plus. The rooms are small with basic equipment. Breakfast is chargeable. Beware of the name of the beds: our reservation included a queen size bed (160) and a double bed, it is actually a small bed 1 person ... without explanation! Staff not very attentive ...

Very cool trendy hotel. Great location. Stayed in the 4 bunk bed room which was perfect for my mom, sisters and I. I needed a refrigerator to store my breast milk and they provided one before arrival and quickly delivered it when we needed to change rooms.

Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to the water. It never got HOT. Bearable but not hot. Just a warm shower everytime.
